Well, I have the truck cleaned out, ready to transfer it tomorrow. Found out my employer is pushing company drivers out and replacing us with lease operators. This takes the health insurance and fuel cost burdens off of their backs. They didn't have the stones to ask us to leave, they just started starving us out.

As soon as I get through with my physical and stuff. The old ones wanted me to run from here to two drops in Kansas City, KS. And then on to Wichita. Told them I could make it to KC, but they'd need another truck to go to Wichita. I'm done. They want me in a truck at the new outfit right away.

Once their pool of drivers become all "former" company drivers, who are now driving lease, they may rethink that move, a bit too late though.

Good luck and lots of bucks, with the new job. Very nice to step out of one job, right into a new one, without missing a beat.

That's partly why I do what I do. I'm not dependent in toto to a company that might have other whims. The new company has a lease division, but they're flatbed, and don't compete for the same loads.

I have this week and next week left of regular classes then Monday and Tuesday of the next week for finals.

However, I'm taking 3 classes this summer so I only get about 2 1/2 weeks off before I start right back up. Luckily I only have one live class and the other two are online.

I am only taking 1 class in the summer. It is on Monday and Thursday nights. I also have only 2 weeks off after spring semester.

I'm awake getting ready to start the big day. I'll be meeting a driver down at the airport and running the last load for these folks into KC. Gotta make Sure they pay me for my 2 weeks vacation, also, so I can get back on an even keel.
