This happens on my iPhone every time I quote a post by BigBadWulf.
The same thing happened on my 8330 Curve, which makes me wonder if there is a forum setting I should change in my User CP.
Except that when I quote one of his posts on a PC, his wap signatures are not broken down into individual characters. The reply box shows them just as they are in the first screen shot.

It's so full that I cannot scroll to the bottom.
I have to manually delete it all, so it looks like this:
