People are ridiculous though and think they can drive in any conditions that Mother Nature throws at them. This guy got stuck on the side of the road trying to pull his Camaro into an unplowed parking lot.

I always forget to stock up on food and stuff before something like that. I remembered last time, and do you know what I got for potentially 2 days of being stranded? 2 bags of cereal, a gallon of milk, and a 4 can pack of ravioli! Ha. Has there been a more blatant time of me being a worthless bachelor? I think not.

I love seeing those cars in snow drifts and banks, especially not very big ones. They're the ones you wanna punch when they're hot rodding around like idiots in the summer. I always wanna laugh and never wanna help, but I do anyway.

I got a real sphincter-tightener tonight as I'm headed southbound on I-57 in Illinois. Dry pavement and all from Chicago, and I get just above Champaign and suddenly I'm riding an empty trailer on a sheet of black ice at 60, and I feel her start sliding just a hair from side to side, and the road is starting to curve.
I let the speed ease down gently as I went into the curve, rode it on through, and got through about 5 miles of icy patches. No warning at all, no good reason for the ice to be there.

It can happen that fast. Had I attempted to shift the wheel or touch the brakes, I'd have been in the ditch in a heartbeat. Probably upside down.

Oh yeah, as a bit farther north than you, I totally know what it can be like to go from dry pavement to having no control over your vehicle within literally feet and without reason.

My thought was, if your visibility is down below let's say, half a mile, why aren't you going slow enough to be prepared to stop within a short amount of distance? It really just amazes me what some idiots will think they can do and more so don't think about what they can't do.

not quite getting down to me Shi. I'll be turning on the heat and being grateful that I'm not in the really bad stuff. I can take just at freezing when I'm safely tucked in bed with the down comforter that is only used once or twice a year. You stay warm too!
