I can't wait to get home tonight & start getting my Flip ready to give to my sister. I'm going to load the official T-Mo OS on it since I've had pretty good luck with those. I've read it's riddled with bugs but it can't be worse than the non-officials that freeze every time a text message comes in, forcing you to reboot & lose whatever the message was.

One thing I do know is I'm going to have to sit down with her, show her how to use it, and make sure she knows not to select certain things in the options menu. I talked to her for a little while yesterday and told her about DM & backing up her phone. I'll probably have to show her that the first time she uses it too. She also knows that if she has any issues she can call me & I can help her resolve them.

When I told her what phone it was she asked if it was the phone that they had the commercials about "but(t)-dialing" for. I told her yes & she squealed loudly in my ear. I think she's excited.

Eh, she may not get much use out of it right away. She is very responsible about her minutes and only ever uses it when she really needs to. But, she's turning 13 and getting to that age where she'll be on the phone a lot more.

Haha, Exactly. I just hope she makes better choices than I did at that age. I trust that she will, but I still worry because I know how easy it is to get swept up in the wrong crowd and bad situations; especially when so young and impressionable.

I grill her about boys every time we talk. She says she isn't interested in them yet, but at that age I said the same thing and then had my first boyfriend shortly after.

Man, my break is over already. That hour went by quickly.
