I don't think there will be a problem with the phone as long as it hasn't been reported stolen. When I sold my old curve the person I sold it to just put her sim card in it and it worked fine.

From my research Mike, a full wipe is usually necessary. Morning bud!

Mike, Ed, aside from wiping the o/s off the device, is there difference between the security wipe in options and wiping with jl Commander?

I don't think you can do a partial wipe with JL CMNDER. I like CrackUtil for wiping though, makes using loader.exe so easy.

The security wipe is supposed to take the device to an "out of the box" state - the OS and apps should remain, and personal info removed. But Ed says there are exceptions like email being delivered to some devices, so it looks like you need to do a full jl or Crackutil wipe and OS install to be sure. That said, this didn't happen with one I sold, but anecdotal evidence isn't very reliable.

Ok, thanks guys, that's what I thought. Jl cmdr is a more thorough wipe.

Anyone else bought new moon tickets?? I just bought mine an my friends for sat!!!! Yayyyy!!!!!
Not yet. Last year I had my Twilight tickets weeks in advance but this year I kind of can't plan anything that far ahead. Never know when Steve is going to be home. I'm hoping to go see it Saturday after work & getting my phone.

Question for someone smarter than me. I may have someone who is gonna buy my pearl. How do i make sure pin number is unlocked and esn is clean? Will i have to call att? Do they do it? Does it matter that it was in my dads name when i bought it? Thanks for any help!!!
When I traded my Pearl I called T-Mobile to make sure my pin was clear & they said that the only time you have to worry about that is on a CDMA network. On a GSM network simply removing the SIM should free it up. If the buyer is planning on using it on a different carrier than AT&T, the phone will need to be unlocked.

That should be fixable without wiping the OS through the Manage Internet Email icon. You can remove any & all email accounts associated with the device that way.

Oh ok, thanks for clearing that up for me.
I will have to see if they will unlock it. Im not going to till she says she is gonna buy it. If not I am just going to use it as a backup phone.
I removed all my email accounts from the att bis website.

    Thanks for everyones help!
