That would kinda stink to be homeless and win a car. She'll still be responsible for the taxes on it, I guess depending on income level in general. Maybe it would still let her stay under the taxable income limit.

Yes, stupid war on drugs restricting the good cold/sinus meds. I give a crap less. Go cook some meth as long as I have unrestricted access to meds that actually work. You know its a shame more meth labs don't explode while people are cooking it up and the people doing it are there?
I've never been to their little cellphone kIosk/area in there. Thinking about getting some cheap crap prepaid deal and not activating it until needed. Is that even possible?

And what about toast? Why did the Founding Fathers not include toast as one of our inalienable rights? No foresight at all. We have the right to arm bears and to not have illegal seizures, but no right to toast.

They did a story about it on the news. Apparently her and her husband moved here recently for work because they both lost their jobs where they were living before. Good luck to them finding a job around here. They are only staying in the shelter until they find a place to fit their budget and get back on their feet financially. I bet she ends up selling the car. The money will cover the taxes and give them a little extra to put in the bank as well.

Yes, you can do that with prepaid phones. I have an old Virgin Mobile one laying around that hasn't been activated in years but if I wanted to use it all I would need to do is buy minutes for it and activate it right from the handset or online.

Do they make you activate/register immediately at the register when buying? Would hate to let the initial charge of minutes go to waste while its sitting on a shelf or in a junk drawer.

Hopefully the pair with the car but no employment have some better luck. The employment situation really that bad out there Kasi?

Nobody wanted to try the armed bears part. What a shame. Oh well.

Yeah, tell me about it. I'm one of a lucky handful in Michigan who still has a job. I think unemployment here is still the worst in the nation. Was just kinda hoping things in other parts of the country were starting to come back around already.

You see the news reports today, they were crowing about how consumer spending was up in August? Any guess why?

No, they don't. Or at least I never had to back when I was using prepaid phones. The thing is that you can't activate it until it has been scanned by the register though.

Kind of. There are some jobs here, but 95% of them want you to have prior experience in the field or require a degree of some kind.

I love classical, I'm listening to Piano Concerto No. 23 in A Major, K. 488- Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus. Its so soothing and relaxing, I love how music can ease my pain.
