I am!! Hey Tripster, always be careful with checking a frame for damage. I recommend just replacing the whole thing. You could probably get a nice Italian or upper end American with full Campy or Dura Ace, just guessing about the replacement, but I crashed my Specialized Sirrus a number of years ago, and unknown to me, there was the tiniest bend in the top tube that no one could see with a naked eye. That was enough change in the characteristics of the frame that when I went over 30 mph, the bike shook violently - like it was going to fall apart or take off. The only time I went that fast was going downhill.
Needless to say I saw my life flash in front of my eyes when I hit 45 on a downhill and it almost shook out of my hands
. I was so bummed! I had just spent a month buying new wheels, gears, handlebar, brakes and you name it. I have to go find a nice frame too. I did get a LaMond so I was happy, but I almost killed myself by reusing a bent frame. So check it, and if in doubt, throw it out!

. Been a long day, and the alarm is cruel. I hope to G_d you get to keep your frame, I know how growing attached to a vehicle can be. I've had my RX7 for 16 years now, and I couldn't imagine driving another car. Have a great evening, and to the rest of TBL as well. I'm cashing it in for the night.
