Geesus Ed, I empathize. I had Ulcerative Colitis in my early 20's and never got it under control, no matter what meds they gave me. If it worked a first time, it wouldn't the next. Like you I came that close to kicking the bucket. But not once during that time did a doc ever tell me that smoking would help or I might have tried.

I'm already at work so I better get to it
