I can't hide an amp in my Jeep, and I don't really want subs in there, so I just need a bit of volume.

Plus I blew one of the speakers in the soundbar. Oops...

So now I'm looking for some 4x6 for the dash, and that'll be it.

If I can hide an amp in my RX7, there's got to be a way to hide it in your Jeep. You don't have 2" under either seat? No sub in mine, but with the speakers I have, although it would be nice, it's not really necessary. One day though, it will be out with the donut, and in with the sub.

I can't fit a decent amp up under the seat. Remember that I also have to worry about water in mine, so setting it on the floor is a no go. I already fried one like that...

Besides, I'd rather have the air than the bump.

Ahhhh! Didn't think about the water. You could always bag it. I've got an Alpine 4 channel under mine, can't be but a little over an inch thick. But you could always go with a hi-powered head unit.

I used to feel the same way Jef. As long as I had tunes in the car, I was happy. But once I started with quality 4 channel audio in there, it's become an obsession. There's just nothing to compare in that close space, with good sound.

I used this set-up on my Wrangler Jef - windjammer and deck cover, etc. I had little canvas half doors for sunny days, and when it rained, I put my regular doors on. The back stays super dry with it,

You can't put a great sound system in a jeep because anyone with a screwdriver can just unscrew the speakers and walk away with them. Theives suck.

I'm with you Ed. When I first got my Acura, I looked everywhere for the sub that came with the sound system but couldn't find it. Then I was checking out the spare and saw that the spare had a cover that said Bose, hahaha!
