So I want everybodys opinion.
I had 3 trash bags on my side porch filled with clothes that I had promised to 2 different needy families & 1 bag I had just picked up from another freecycler for my daughter. Next to my side porch is a pen that we built for our trash. My trash man comes right up to my house to pick up & he never ever takes anything that is not bagged, or within that pen. This has been his practice for about a year now.
Well I guess he thought he was doing me a favor & took the bags off of my porch! They're gone, there's no way of getting them back.
What should I do? Should I ask for free trash service for like a month or do I just let it go because as my mom said I shouldn't have had those bags there anyway?
I'm really po'ed about the whole thing. I spent so much time getting all that stuff together. And now I have to tell these people that I promised clothes to their kids, that they're gone, I don't have them anymore. Uugghhhh!

You go to the township and complain until they buy clothes for the kids... They shouldn't be coming on to your property to collect your trash.

Go to or call the township (or trash collection company, whichever it is that handles that) and complain. They should not be taking anything that is outside of the designated trash area.
