I figured that was the case as soon as I saw the Springfield,Mo. I worked there from 96-2000. Whatever you do, do not let him lease a truck from them, at least for a few years. Trust me on that one. Company Driver, trainee, good place for it, but leasing has a way of biting you in the keister.
If he wants to be an owner operator, I still wouldn't lease from them. Waaaayyy too much for a base-model truck. Go through one of the dealers like Arrow, better truck, lower payment, and you can still get a warranty.
If he has any problems, get in touch with me, please. I can give him advice.

- but I don't know if they have gotten in touch with the other one yet.
They were very quick to call back when he filled out the app. About an hour afterward they were calling him.
He just got called back from an interview he had through school this morning for a railroad emergency response company in the area. As soon as he gets his camera card and physical CDL he has to call them back.

He was planning to give them time to find someone to replace him. He told that to the manager, Mike, when he had asked a few weeks ago if Steve would be leaving after getting his CDL.
One of the companies he applied at called his work and faxed over employment verification paperwork for them to fill out. His ******* of a boss fired him for applying to other companies.thanks I will!

Working the way he did for that company was hurting him. Hopefully one of these other jobs will come through. We won't be able to survive on just my unemployement.
