Gosh Kasi, Unemployment isn't welfare or anything to be ashamed of - it's an insurance payout. It's a benefit your former employer paid on your behalf as part of your compensation package. Even more to the point, bad employees, those let go with cause aren't even eligible. So hold your head up and take the money just as you would a paycheck. It is something you earned through your labor.

Thanks Shelli. I'm glad it came through. Now I'll be able to catch up on some bills and won't be scraping up change for little things during the week.

Yeah, I actually got an answer from one of the places I applied at. They said because of my prior work experience and interests (no clue how that factors in to getting a job ) they are no longer considering me for the position.

kasi unemployment isnt bad, at least your doing your best to look for a job, there are some people i know that just sit around all day and expect a job to come find them...aint gonna happen, at least your working harder then those people!
