well chad, try to figure out what could be bothering you-without driving yourself crazy of course cuz that'll make it worse, and 2nd-try to get a nap in for yourself today before work. It could also be that because you are doing soo much-your body is in 'over drive' right now and that's why your mind is racing even while ypour trying to sleep. Do you have chamomile tea? Perhaps you can try a bit of that to calm yourself.....just a suggestion

ill admit i do think some of it is stress (work, girl issues, family, fire/ems stuff) id love to take a nap before work but i wake up at 5 am, get ready for work, i leave around 5:30 and get to work around 615, and get some some stuff taken care of before my shift starts, then im either done at 3 pm or at 7pm, 12 hour shifts suck

oh that's right! Im sorry 7-7 I rem now. I was thinking 7pm - 7am instead of vise versa. Well when you get home try to just chill out tonight to un-wind. And in reality-gettin drunk doesn't 'help' you sleep even though it makes you pass out-its not a restful sleep really.
