Blondie, I use accuweather. It's a push service, once you agree to accept it and give your zip, it will put an icon on your desktop that links you to detailed info - it also puts info on your desktop. I had good luck with it on my Curve.

Hello all. I dozed off for a little while. Ex I have a curve 8330 os 4.5 vzw. I had accuweather before & I just dl'd again. I don't like that it launches the browser but its an icon on my home screen & doesn't cause me problems so it will have to do. Thanks for looking out for me!

thanks Blondie, I was wondering which 4.5 you have - if there's an upgrade that might work better for you. 160 is the newest official for the 8330 in the 83xx forum.
