Yeah, he's home. He had just come in and I was going to talk to him about what he wanted to do for Buddy, because he finally showed signs of being in pain today (he screamed when I picked him up while bathing him,) and ultimately Buddy made the decision for us; he decided to stop fighting whatever it was that was wrong with him.

Losing an animal can be as hard as losing someone in your family. Grieve how you need to, and don't let anyone make you feel silly for loving an animal so much. I think it is normal and hate that you are having to go through it.

Very well said! I lost my special one 11/06 and still miss him. If you need anything, please let me know. I know how badly it hurts. My dog will meet Buddy at the Rainbow Bridge and show him around. He'll be safe until you meet again.
