I think that's pretty good - I had the 8320 curve and settled in at 27mb. Don't let it get to you too much as in thinking you have to free up more and more. Once you get to a good place like you have, then do regular cache clearing and resets to free tied up file free and you'll be fine. I cleared my cache and did a hard reset every couple days. Do that and close apps properly and you'll be good to go. To close apps, press the menu key while in the application and select close. There is a cool free application called quickpull that works pretty well - it'll reset your device on a schedule and you won't have to even think about doing it yourself . I'll get the link for you
