well you don't want to impose-but- at the same time you don't want to look 'unconcerned' maybe if it was me-i would consider going over there and just introduce yourself and that its nice the kids play together.....then in the convo somewhere drop in "well listen- if you ever need help with something-let me know-id be glad to help out" and see if that opens something up-if not-you didn't intrude and if they need some sort of help-they know because you have extended your generosity.

I'll make it up to her somehow. Probably take her out for lunch and take her to the mall and let her pick out something she wants. I know one thing I could get her that would make her happy but unfortunately tickets to a Miley Cyrus concert cost wayyyyy too much.

My 12 YO can't stand miley - she's influenced by her older brother and likes alternative and metal, lol, and everything Japanese.

Lol. We tried to steer her in the direction of rock & alternative but her peers were able to influence her before we could. She seriously loves Miley. Her bedroom is full of Hannah Montana stuff and she has posters of Miley all over her walls. Her brother and I don't help with the addiction either. Since she likes her so much whenever we go out and see something "Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus" that we think she would like we pick it up for her.

We've been good about it lately though. Her parents said to cut back on the HM stuff because she'll probably be outgrowing her soon so we haven't gotten her anything in a while.

I know she would love to go see her live but we can't really afford 3 $80+ concert tickets. I'm so used to spending $40 at the most for tickets that anything more than that I won't even consider.
