well since we're talking about trackballs I ordered a G1 trackball for my Jav but USPS keeps jerking me around aka they lost it.

but i hate doing the warranty exchange cus you get a refurb phone so i just deal with it

I wouldn't worry about a refurbished phone Jams, just go for it. I got a refurbished 8320 last year and it was fine. The bad thing with the Javs' trackball is that you have to take the thing apart to replace it, and you void the warranty doing that, so you have to replace the device as long as it's under warranty.

yeah i had a refurb 8320 and didnt like it as much as the original...and i know they made it harder to get to the trackball this time around and its ghey haha ...i really want to put on the black bezel cus mine looks like crap cus of the peeling but i dont wanna void it lol

I'll let you know what the replacement's like. I don't think they'd replace one for cosmetic damage like a bezel pealing, but I don't know. I don't have a choice because my trackball is not working. But the way these devices are backordered, I think the odds are good I will get a new one - I couldn't tell the difference with the 8320 replacement I got.

Well then, you will understand this and it'll blow you away, the skill and pressure you use to take out and replace your earrings is identical to a trackball replacement. and a whole lot easier to do. I know because I've had to help women with their earrings.
