I hate hearing people butcher names. I'm glad my last name is super short (3 letters) but my first name is so long and everyone always pronounces the middle of my name like "sond" instead of "sand". Oh, and they always swap out the K for a C.

When I was really young and my older sister would go to school and write things about me in her writing journal one of her teachers constantly sent home letters telling my dad "Please teach Jaime how to properly spell Cassandra". My dad would send a letter back every time saying "Jaime knows how to properly spell Kassandra", but the teacher continued to send the letters home and would reprimand my sister for spelling my name incorrectly when it was right. It finally took a meeting with the principal to make the teacher realize she was in the wrong and she never even apologized for her mistake.

I know exactly what you're all saying about names. My name has been mispronounced my whole life. That's 1 of the main reasons I've never shared it with anyone from cb or even my bbm friends. Cuz nobody will say it right so why bother. Probably 4 ppl have read my name & pronounced it correctly in all of my 28 years

I think had I not been so awkward in a social setting, I'd have done a lot better in school with the girls. I was kinda short until my Senior year, and all the girls just loved to tease me, cause I'd get so flustered and twitterpated.

Where are those pictures young lady? And save the Photobucket email address on your blackberry, so it's easy to upload. Also, when I use Photobucket from my berry, I disable my picture loading, so it comes up faster.

Cool! I've known 1 other person who I share names with except her's was with a C. The even weirder part was that our last names were almost identical too. They weren't the same but sounded so much alike that the school, teachers, and other students would confuse us constantly.

I like the unique spelling of my name, I'm sure there are other's out there that spell it with a K but I haven't met any so its special to me

I've seen the K spelling a few times. Typically German or Russian in origin. I suspected that it was your name by the way you use it.
