I hate humidity, just the sticky way clothes feel, uck! I was in DC and Virginia once and it was 102f and 99% humidity. Felt like I was under water - hot water, lol.

Ex, imagine being in VA at night with a truck that has a busted A/C and alternator, so you can't run the engine, and it's 96 degrees with that humidity, the shop won't be open until noon the next day. No hotels are available because it's near a theme park, so no choice but to sleep in the truck.

I was hot, miserable, and inspired. I went into the truckstop and found an empty meat box. Bought 2 large bags of ice, and purchased a device called a tornado fan, blows a pretty mean blast of air.
I took it out and jumped my batteries off of my reefer unit. I then took the box and cut 6 holes in one side, and a hole big enough for the tornado fan in the other side.

I lined the box with a trash bag, placed the bags of ice side by side in the box, and put the lid on the box. I installed the tornado fan in the large hole I cut, and switched it on, blowing a stream of icy cold air out across my body.

I slept comfortably that night, got my truck fixed the next day, and pass this lesson along whenever I can.

And now you see why my motto is improvise, adapt, and overcome.
