Oh, BTW, my trip yesterday went nicely, especially the trip home, where I ran a fuel mileage run. My old 98 Lumina with 183k miles got 38.3 mpg with a full load and the a/c running. Not bad at all, for an 11 year old full-size car.

No, definitely not downhill both ways. Up and down a lot of hills, though. Went from Villa Ridge, Mo. to Columbia, 104.5 miles using rtes 100, 19, and I-70. Those country roads followed a drunken cow up and down hills all the way. Wind was negligible. 4 passengers in the car.my fuel fill took 2.729 gallons when I filled, and I had to squeeze it in.

I tuned her up a few months back with Bosch +2 plugs and new wires. I also used my synthetic metal treatment called Motorkote, which you can look up online. I've been using it since 05. Great stuff. My first mpg test before I did all of the tweaking was 29.2 mpg, same trip.

I have nothing to gain from them. I'm passing it along because with the lousy economy, and knowing how things are, if I can give any of you some info that will help you save, I'll do it.

The bottle aint cheap, a qt runs you $30, but it'll last you about 35-50k miles before you have to re-treat. No solids or junk in it like Slick 50, either. Goes in your engine, tranny, and power steering.

Cool. Due to the mileage on my drivetrain, I couldn't safely switch to a full Syn oil. Did that once and had to replace gaskets, because the oil got pushed through them. RP is a great product, too.

The previous owner wasn't as caring of the car, and I know the tranny was overheated before. We would have to warm it up and let the tranny build up pressure before it would go into gear. Not anymore, so far. And I didn't have to change my oils to start using it either, that is one of the biggest differences.

I'm loving my Acura, BS, the V-Tec is a very very smooth engine. My focus was an efficient car that got great mileage, but it just didn't have any HP. This Honda has 200 HP, and is fun to drive.
