Some of those bag of bolts (old planes) still fly pretty good. I did always check the build date tag on the door before I got on the plane and was amazed at how long some of those have been flying. I still refuse to fly on Russian made aircraft.

Can anyone tell me if they think a bunch of posts got deleted from the CB 1M thread when it got locked, or if maybe the existing content is what got it locked? That is, if the locking was a corrective measure (and the folks not present won't ever know) or if it was preventative action, and we can all learn already now from what is still posted there. I guess ECM will eventually at least partially tell us also.

But that big brouhaha that we just went through was caused by me posting last week that Winnipeg was going to start restricting things because our counts were going up. So I don't consider my concern as making a leap.

Impressed you know where the airplane data plate is. I've flown on Russian planes. IL-62 and AN-24s are good. Never get on a TU-154. Though the chances are low now since most have crashed.
