    Alpha Geek - Useful Windows Vista Sidebar Gadgets

    Windows Vista's Sidebar gets no respect - and that's a shame. With the right gadgets, the Sidebar can help you get things done, especially if you have enough screen estate to keep it running in the foreground (like on a widescreen monitor).

    Granted, a few Sidebar Gadgets offer little more than eye candy designed to wow consumers at Best Buy. But if you know where to look, you can stock your Sidebar with some genuinely useful tools. Let's take a look at the cream of the crop.

    Seriously, does any really use there sidebar? I've got a clock and a calender, but don't think I've every really used it.

    Got Windows7 sidebar with a clock, calender, Norton anti virus and CPU usage. The only thing I use is the CPU and the Norton. The side bar is a huge hog on the CPU. Your computer will be faster with out it. I keep it cause I like the way it looks.
