Customer: I pay taxes! I pay your salary! You work for me!

Me: Guess what? I pay taxes too...so we'll just say that this one is on me.
So I see you're a government employee as well... I hate when people say that!

And lazy people. The world's full of them, those who want everyone else to do it for them. The old timers on my staff who are jealous of the kids who are more motivated and the kids who expect to be entertained and have everything explained. Sometimes they just have to do it and figure out why on their own - it is how one learns. Its work, not a democracy.

People who won't think for themselves just burn me up.

I work at the cable company in customer service at a walk-in location. We are VERY limited in what we can do on a business account. We can't set them up or change their service or disconnect their service. This one girl had a business customer who wanted to disconnect, and she called to ask me who this business customer should call. Well, DUH, don't you think they should call the business accounts department.

And this same girl IM'd me to ask who to call for a building maintenance issue. Well, shouldn't you call the same building maintenance guy that you called last week???

People who drive their family across train tracks when the gates are down. I KNOW THEY SEE ME COMING! If you personally cannot wait the two to three minutes for the train to pass, maybe think that your kid in the carseat does. I don't want to kill you, but chances are, I will.

    People.

Umm, wait, 10 chars? Ok, I can expand on that.

The usual crowd that doesn't think for themselves and want you to do everything for them. Sure, you pay us money, but I'm not there for YOU, I am there for the good of the company. Easy, right?

Of course I have been asked to never speak to certain people which I'm told now reflects poorly on me professionally, but I can live with that if I have some peace and quiet.

Okay i work in Auto Parts, & i am ASE P2 and AIA Certified. not to mention I am certified in Standard Motor Products, Raybestos Brakes, Wix Filters, and some other brands.... Plus i've been in this business for going on 9 years so i know my stuff pretty well when it comes to auto parts. and i'll admit i don't know everything but i'm not afraid to dig for what customers need.

and what really ticks me off is when we'll have 4 sources stating they need part number "br549" and i go to sell them "br549" and "it's not right" after 4 source say it is..... then it comes back that it was a different year/make/model that what i was first told.......
I don't work in the field but my Father does , 32 years in the industry . I totally know what you mean lol . When I take my holidays i end up spending loads of time at his store and help out . I've been helping in his store since i could walk lol . I hardly every rely on the computers , I go straight to the catalogs . I hate the people that think they know the parts that's wrong buy it , install it then it doesn't work then blow up at the parts guy because they don't explain whats going on and could have gotten the right part in the first place .

When I was 17 I once had a water pump thrown at me cause the customer had ran it with no gaskets and it of course leaked , thought it was my fault as i should have told him to put the gaskets on with some sealant . We just asked him if he read the instructions and he blew up at us saying in 20 years i have never used one gasket on my engines etc . We had to call the cops to escort him out . Our regular customers got a good laugh that day.

I am a sales manager at a car dealership, so there is a lot that can set me off. One thing is when my salesmen blow a customer off or don't really put any effort in with a customer. Makes us look bad and I hate it. Ugggrrrrrr

Just talked to an old guy on the phone at work and the end of our conversation verbatim is-

"One of our adjusters will be contacting you within 2 business days Mr. ______"

"Ok. When do you think they'll call me?"

"Uh... within 2 business days sir."

    "Ok. Bye!"

    Old people. Jeez.

But at least this guy was nice.
