Have fun in Texas. I'm with POE, Mike, though... Can't imagine living anywhere but California (especially Southern California). Hope you don't stay away for too long.
Well, I-40 isn't all that bad, that part goes by really fast.
There's a lot to find down there, you have most of the world's climates in one place.
Sounds like you have a little gypsy blood running, and I hope you enjoy that trip. I was stationed in San Diego, spent a lot of years all over Cali, (oh, I forgot, Kali, now), haze gray and underway.

Have fun over there! I've driven to and fro Tx about 6 times and only enjoyed the ones on 40. 10 is a beast! Good thing you are wise.
As far as music goes, pearl jam, kings of leon and killers is what I rock to.
Good luck and be safe!
So, I must share... I bought an Aux cord tonight for my iPod/car & I LOVE it. I didn't realize my car had one, but the sound's amazing & I'm glad I don't have to deal with an FM transmitter.
