    From KRON news website:

"The pre-purchased mobile ticket, called an EventTIK, must be purchased with a smartphone on the iTunes app store or the Google Play store for those with Android phones."

So I guess BlackBerry bb10 and Windows phone users are SOL.

Actually I didn't try it since I'm not attending. But you know bb10 in theory doesn't have access to Google Play.

I have tried to get one vendor to put their app on the website for download. I don't know if that violates any Google policy.

The vendor is Delorme. Their app works better on my BlackBerry than it ever did on the HTC Android phone I bought prior to bb10 Android Player doing Bluetooth.

But getting back to the Super Bowl app, it is ridiculous to only allow people with smartphones to use transit. Suppose you use the iphone and you have the typical dead battery. Or maybe you don't even have a bb10 BlackBerry. There are corporate users still on the 9000 series phones.
