So the summer is the only time I have a chance to read while my son is in the pool. So far I have read maybe 20 pages and that was at the beach because I wasn't about to play with my bb in the sand. Everyday at the pool I sit here reading viigo and crackberry and just when I'm about to pick up my book my skinny son's lips are purple and he is ready to go. Argh!! I really was looking forward to reading this book also! Its tommyknockers by Stephen king, anyone read it? Last summer I read the entire dark tower series, by far the best books I've ever read, even though I didn't like how it ended. So yet again my bb is interfering with my life.
But at least when we did go to the beach and I didn't have an internet connection I still had the world at my fingertips. I probably would have had a seizure had I not bad a bb to get my email and news on for a week!

I've heard Tommy Knockers was alright, but that was from the hardcore Stephen King fans... I usually don't trust other people's judgements with books, though. I have to dive in myself
I actually just started The Stand.

    Hope you love it!

just posted this in the other summer reading forum but I'll post it again cause the series is that good

Robert Jordans "wheel of time" series the first book in the series is "eye of the world"

he's been accredited with finishing the world that J.R.R. Tolken started. so if you are into fantasy, id recommend these books. serious page turners

Here's a yes vote to "The Tommyknockers" book because it was a great read! It's been a while, but I remember still being creeped out reading it. Totally agree with "Dark Tower" dangling at the end, but as a whole, good stuff! Stephen is my no. 1 writer so I may be a pinch biased. Other King books that are great, The Shining, Carrie, Salem's Lot, Needful Things, Pet Sematary, and his newest: Duma Key. These are better than the movies, and they will take your mind off the berry for a little while. BOO!!
