Last year's RIM 2011 Roadmap showed the "Montana/Monaco" coming Q2 2011 which I found out was July/August/Sept. My question is: How is Q1 2013 NOW Jan/Feb/March? would it NOT be April/May/June? Meaning that if? you purchased a Bold 99XX series in mid-August...you'd have waited at least 18 months for a new BlackBerry device? So how does Jan/Feb in 2013, become Q1? Just asking?

The first quarter of RIM's fiscal year 2013 has already passed. So the assumption is that when they said BB10 would ship 1Q 2013, they must have meant calendar 2013, which is Jan-Mar.

Thanks...you knew what I meant when they keep saying Q1 2013...to me that's again, April/May/June

Heh-Heh. You must be an accountant, and think in terms of tax-years.

It's definitely "expected" during Jan/Feb/Mar 2013. The press release for the earnings call specifically says "calendar". It says:

BlackBerry 10 smartphone launch now scheduled for Q1 of calendar 2013

I've given up on RIM's dates. How many times have we got news in the past "X dates" then spoke about those only for new dates to come out and say the same all over again.

BB10 isn't here yet....it could be worse, we could be with our 99XX's !

Thank you all for clearing it up for me, I forgot RIM said calender year, not fiscal. But unfortunetley, like many have said, even jan/feb/mar still my not see BB OS 10 released then.
