Hi Jaydee, do you see any major differences between 10.3 and 10.3.1?

Major differece: App/function shortcuts... for now the shortcut by long pressing the key goes only to make a call.

    Workhorse: BlackBerry|Q10, SQN100-3, OS 10.2.1.2941; Power Workhorse: BlackBerry|Passport, SQW100-1, OS 10.3.0.675; Germany.

Done about everything... always same result/ problems:

    1. Radio - not able to attatch to customer network,

    2. Not able to recharge my batery.

Always rollback to 10.3.0, which runs ok.

I can't tell you the last time I've jumped onto CB and thought, "Wow! Look at all the new stories to read!"
Sad to be honest. Makes me wonder where all the diehards who ran this site have gone. Forget Kevin. We know he's tied up with bigger things but seriously!
Bla1ze is doing a good job but there are little to no stories and forum threads are all repetitive.

I took journalism in post secondary - still in the field - and remember a former prof telling our class, "if you come into work and can't think of a minimum five to ten story pitches for your beat you're not trying hard enough."

I'm not saying the above as a cheap shot to anyone who works on CB. Please don't take it that way. I'm saying it because I know there are stories which can be written.

Well there isn't much going on for BlackBerry publicly at the moment!
Even the new apps in BlackBerry World are drying up.

I had loaded it on my old Z10 just to see some of the features but I am much more looking forward to being able to test it out with everyday use.

My Passport runs like a dream right now and I don't want to compromise that. I have used leaks before, in fact on my old legacy devices I was always tinkering trying to find the most optimized OS (in my experience, the latest leaked version was not always the best on the battery for instance). I don't have the time for such tinkering anymore. Easy enough to load a leak and 'see what happens' but, unless all the bugs have been worked out, it's not worth the risk to me.

Features like Blend, Visual VM, and not-to-mention just making sure you can still connect to the network without a hitch... I can't compromise these things on my daily driver. And if my screen 'flickered' as many have reported and seems a somewhat common glitch, I'd have to reload the old OS and so on and so forth. No time for that. I'd rather spend that time on here.

What's happening with the Samsung 'Partnership'? Does anyone know any of the details? There's room for so much discussion there... I really want to know as that doesn't seem like a small thing that should be so under-the-radar as it is. And, yes, I could probably do more research on the subject on my own, but this is my number 1 source for BlackBerry news. And I know nothing about that deal.
