Yeah I would imagine the results are inconclusive and by the time they figure it out, we will all be dead anyway from one thing or another.
Exactly so why stress.
The only things certain in life are death and taxes. Enjoy what you can let the rest go.

I'm thinking it's not far enough and am considering moving it to my bureau which is about five feet away. People wanna roll the dice and that's fine, but it took a generation to learn that asbestos causes cancer. Cell phones are too new to really know. Once the first extreme use cell phone generation ages to maybe sixty years old we could see many people who are sick from exposure.

Don't use a cellphone if you're so doubtful.

That's ridiculous. I'm talking about eliminating completely unnecessary exposure during 30% of my life: the 8 hours/night I'm sleeping. Not eliminating all exposure.

Eating microwaved food probably has more radiation the a cell phone will ever give you

I keep mine on my bedside table, so it's near my head but not right up next to it, you know?
But now I'm paranoid, so maybe I'll put it on the floor or on another table... Or waaaay at the back of the bedside table.

That's why I don't use microwaves :)

I'll take my chances. My BB is rarely further away from me than arm's reach and does spend most of it's day in my holster or next to the top-end of my bed. Might as well sooner cut off an arm or something before i'd do otherwise :p
Every night before I go to sleep, I delete the radio file on my BlackBerry so I can keep it near my head and sleep safely.

I put my BlackBerry on a pillow right next to me so does that make me a crackhead? >_<

I've always thought that some alien life form depend on RF to communicate. They have "ears" that are sensitive to the frequencies we are using on our radios and phones, and a group of them are preparing come here and destroy us because of all the "noise" we are transmitting all over the universe.
On topic, we are swimming in both visible and invisible waves most of our lives. But what will kill us is the air we breath and the food we eat, and aliens.

When you're making a phone call, do you keep your BlackBerry to your ear?? You shouldn't do that, it could give you cancer.

It's best to use speaker phone or a wire headset.

I don't know if those stories are true but I'm sure that no phone can be safe?

Yes.

If what you mean by safe is "safe from overexposure to radiation" I would say that phones that passed FCC's standards are perfectly safe.
