How come instead of these bailout plans why can't they give the ppl the money and they can pay off these loans? Get ppl out of debt and help the banks at the same time! Do you think if your car breaks 1 mile after the warranty they are going to bail you out?....not

Why not just let the companies fail? They got into the mess through greed, if they can't find a way out of it, surely new companies will come along, right? Why should my money go to people who bought a nicer home than they could afford? Isn't it like penalizing me for being fiscally responsible?

It is unfortunate, isn't it? Haven't all the people speculating with flipping homes caused me to be so cynical? Weren't they treating homes as investments? If I bought bad stocks and they tanked, where's my bailout for that? Aren't they the same thing, except one used a dwelling as an investment with no backup plan?

Do I think refinancing options should come into play? Why not? But isn't just giving people free money a bad idea? Do people forget there's no such thing as "the Government's money"? Isn't that what they steal from you and me every April?
