I have a PS3 that has been shared between me and my

kids. They are getting their own PS3 this weekend. I

was wondering if I could transfer games that they play

[the save files as well as any purchased games] to

    their PS3.
Or will they have to start fresh?

Interesting question, but perhaps you'd like to post it somewhere where the Sony PlayStation is a regular topic of discussion.

This forum is for the BlackBerry PlayBook....

Well, the ps3 works the same way a PlayBook does, with an account. All information is recorded to the PS Network account. They could have all of their achievements and downloaded games if you transfer the account to their system. I'm not sure if two systems can share the same account though.

I am pretty sure it is possible. Run a backup of the data first on the "original" console and restore it to the other one. Activate the console with your accounts if necessary.
