can someone familiar with the area point a good place to do it?

    we're staying at the Bellagio...

i've read that top of Eiffel and gondola at Venetian are both good places...

Maybe get a 99 cent shrimp cocktail and hide the ring in it....compared to the shrimp the ring will look like the freaking Hope Diamond! Just don't let her eat the shrimp! I got salmoella just looking at it

I proposed to my e-girlfriend in front of Slots O' Fun... How'd you know?

Anyway, I'd say go with the gondola, but that's too common. I'd say (and jr, you'll appreciate this) propose in front of the Bellagio water show while they're playing Sinatra's "Fly me to the moon."

**EDIT** Sorry OP. I am in Vegas so much that I should become a permanent resident, but honestly, Vegas doesn't scream "romance" to me. I'd pick a secluded cove in Laguna Beach, sometime near sundown and yadda, yadda, yadda...

Well this just brought me back to the Off-Topic discussion of the forums.

    Bro, DO NOT GET MARRIED.

I'm sorry I couldn't resist. I'm just so against marriage that things like this make me scream my opinion out. I just don't see any benefit to a man to be married in this country.

Preach, brudda. Whatever happened to your "Kids, Don't Get Married" disclaimer (yeah, I know it was something different)?

I bring it back from time to time.

Since I changed my username I've used Tuco's quote from the movie as my explanation.

But man, I'm sorry for the thread hijack. Just wanted to say that.

Ok newguy.....seriously, congrats. Try not to let the fellas above sway you to join their team just yet.
I do have to agree with my e-manprize s7ar..... I am sure there are quieter spots in Vegas if you are set on Vegas. I'd go for something a little more intimate. Especially if your lady isn't a fan of being the center of attention! And sometimes I noticed The Strip smelled like pi$$. Not so romatic. Well unless it in front of the Bellagio during Sinatra. He trumps pi$$y smell

do it in the war room at ceasers.. thats my favorite place in vegas. or at a really nice restaurant, like mesa or something, and get the wait staff involved.

Any one of the previously mentioned places are a great choice. The fountain by the Bellagio is quite busy so it won't be intimate but nonetheless beautiful. The Eiffel tower at Paris, Paris is great as well but unless you can get the guy to take you guys up on your own still not that intimate but you may want to try the restaurant there, Eiffel Tower Restaurant

The gondola at the Venetian, in my opinion, would be the perfect place and it would just be you, her and the gondlier.

The "Top of the World" at the Stratosphere is another place-just request a nice table overlooking the Vegas Strip.

The Rainforest of the Mirage inside of the Mirage Resort and Casino. It features over 100 different tropical plants and flowers, while 60-foot Palm trees accent the tropical setting with waterfalls and lagoons.

And lastly, you could always enlist the help of the Bellagio staff. Explain that you'd like to propose and they may be able to set you up in a room with a great view of the fountains and the strip and may be able to decorate the room for you this way it would be just the two of you.

    Good Luck!
