As some of you know, there has already been 2 people (1 in Toronto and 1 in Waterloo) who have contracted Ebola. Please pray for the rest of us so we can continue to post on Crackberry

Pray for the world for deliverance from Eubola. We have people in the US as well. And our teams covering the outbreak are quarantined as well.

Nobody in Toronto has been diagnosed with Ebola .

Unless you're Dr. Patrick and are informing us of the first case.

I think it is going to be exceedingly unlikely that this person is going to have Ebola, Michael Gardam, director of infection prevention and control at UHN, said

The British nurse who treated victims and caught it himself spoke yesterday at the conference in London. I can't embed the video on mobile but it's worth following the link and watching the video.

I was driving and listening to this yesterday, tears running down my cheeks. It's incredibly powerful.

I am just so happy that it appears to be treatable. I thought there was no cure/therapy for it. However, the treatment should be available world-wide, and not just developed countries. Even if experimental, it should be available as it appears to be pretty hopeless in Africa. Better to send medicines than troops, I think.

Yeppers, that's what should have been done in the first place with the 3 Doctors brought here to the USA. And they should have quarrantined anyone coming from that area, but I fear it may be to late now.
The first rule in epidemiology is QUARRANTINE.
Well have more of and idea in the next month or so.
My hopes and prayers for all of us, Yes you Kanaidiunz too!

What do you mean. 2 people in GTA with the exact same symptoms. And you know why it's not covered in the news? Because they want to avoid panic.

I reeeally hope this clears up and settles down, but my guard hairs are up.
I think we'll have a better picture in the next 2/3 weeks, but this is a fast moving virus, that yes, does seem to be airbone. Ask the journalist who got it......

The US CDC seems to be , huh, at odds with the W.H.O.

I think I will start to listen to the W.H.O.

I think at a time like this it's extremely important for us to maintain our faith in the public health authorities. When cases are confirmed, it's their obligation to inform us. Until they confirm, I'm prepared to trust their assertion that there's no recorded case as of yet.

Even in the event that a case IS recorded in Canada (and I'm assuming that to be inevitable), we have an excellent system as the response to SARS demonstrated. We have great people here and I have every confidence that they'll know how to handle this. In some senses this has been expected for decades.
