Why did that bit make me think of Jeremy Paxman.
And I love him, man. Sometimes, word association is so wrong, yet soooo right.

The only way I could possibly quote Latin would be to quote James Joyce and I would still not know what I was quoting!
Don't worry F2, knowing Latin is only a sign of a miss spent youth...... Or attending a Catholic school one of the seven.
latin .. the dead language .. so french romantic

Back when Hemingway and I went to the same public school at different times four years of Latin was required for the academic program. I went to a different school for a year and one-half and thus had less training and speak and write Latin even more poorly than English. Chau.
Now there's one thing I never knew about Stephen. I thought he went to a private school, not a common public one. Mmmmmmmm you live and learn on this forum!
Did Joyce write in Latin? I never knew that.
