Why, what's gonna happen?

This is the biggest piece of Hannity, Coulter, Levin, BS ever. It is really a
talking point meant to disguise affiliation. Republicans are so loathe to
associate with the previous administration that they have resorted to using
code words to distance themselves from it.

I am not Liberal, Conservative, Republican, Democratic or any other affiliation.
I simply want what is best for our country and recognize that NO ONE FACTION
has all the answers. I refuse to be blinded by ideology. That more than anything
will ruin this nation.

I don't know about anybody else here, but I felt a large part of my freedom torn away today. Our immigrant ancestors left Europe and their way of doing things in favor of a new country, born of Freedom, and a government OF the People, BY the People, and FOR the People. This present administration of Congress is anything but that ideal. By enacting European style Socialist health care, we have become what we fled.

The government is supposed to listen to what the People want. Not decide what is best for us. We are not children, to be told what to wear, where to go and what to do. I am a man, freeborn and of lawful age. I get to make my own decisions, even if it gets me in a world of garbage. The government has now taken that away from me.

Up until today, I was a citizen, from now on we are subjects, because when Congress or the President decides that drinking soft drinks is bad for us (and mark my words, they will) then they will tax and tax sodas until almost no one can afford them. Taxes will go up on tobacco, and anything else deemed "unhealthy" by our now beneveloent overlords. All in the name of "keeping health care costs under control." The Federal government now has the power to use the tax code to bludgeon anybody and everybody into changing their behavior.

Is that what you want? Well, then you got it. And you've taken the rest of us down the drain with you. Where do you think the money is going to come from to pay for it? We are so far in credit card debt right now it would take a century for us to dig out of it, even if we started right this second. This HCR is going to cost $10 Trillion over the next ten years. The taxes to pay for this stuff start NOW, but you don't get all of your vaunted HCR until 2014. How would you like to pay for a car for 4 years before getting to drive it? I didn't think so. The level of taxation we will be under will crush our economy.

But, hey, I'm only for letting people decide for themselves. We learn from our mistakes, but if we are not allowed to make mistakes, how can we learn? We can't give people what I call "neopolitan choices" (A, B or C, all ice cream), we have to throw a choice D in there, with D being dirt. If we don't taste dirt every now and then, we don't get to appreciate ice cream.

I am a Ronald Reagan Conservative. Low taxes lead to economic growth and more tax income to the government. Just look at who has tried it. JFK, Reagan and W. The president, however, cannot help it if Congress spends it all and then some. The president runs the government, Congress controlls the purse strings.

The government which governs least, governs best.
