I'm not on vacation, maybe should be though... In fact this is the first time in almost a year that I have any time to do anything other than work. The wife and I bought a building to move our business into and we have been working long hours, really long hours, 7 days a week. Just finished moving everything and setting up pallet racks and filling them up, mostly with junk I have accumulated over the 35 odd years I have been in business. We have no employees and aren't spring chickens any more.

Son in law helped us tear down the buildout in the place we had been renting for 25 years. Couldn't have done it without him. The other two daughters aren't married and my son defected to Canada!! We thought about hiring a few Mexican guys to help us but we were fresh out of tacos!

After the fire I found something out. The junk I had accumulated over the last thirty years, I don't miss a thing.

We moved 86 pallets and palletainers of stuff. Only 36 was inventory, all the rest was my tools and junk!! I guess it was almost worth the fuel it cost to move it all. over the next year I am going to go through ALL of it and sort it like I am mad at it!! I will end up with the stuff that my grandkids will throw out when I die and the stuff I actually have a use for. Or think I have a use for anyway... No more collecting little lost and homeless motors and machine parts. No giving in to the faint weak sobs of repairable appliances. No warm place by the fire for abandoned trucks! No sir. Gonna let some other kind hearted slob take them in.
