But darlin, do you know how many people don't look at their bills an just pay them? Even if its only a small percentage, the company pockets the money cause it happens accidentally on purpose. They know d*mn well what their doing.

About 10 years ago my wife started to double check the receipt from anywhere we spent any money. We save between $200-$300 a year!! Mostly on sale items that are "not in the computer"! At least that is what we are told. They always are happy to refund us the difference and sometimes actually change the price in the computer right in front of us but usually just leave it that way for the rest of the unsuspecting customers. Honest mistake? Incompetence? Fraud? It really doesn't matter, just got to check the receipts.

I think it sky-rocketed when they started to use bar codes. I notice it more in grocery stores, cause I like to watch the specials.
