PS. I repeat: it IS a stripper pole. Desperate need to cognitively sanitize it notwithstanding....or maybe 5 years from now, as elementary school girls go to their pole dancing class, we can call it an "exotic" pole....or an "entertainer" pole....and when they ask "where did this start from?"...we can say "oh...um.....I think because....this simulates many of the activities of hunting/gathering...particularly in gathering fruit from trees...uh...and..uh....killing....um....things between your thighs.....and....stretching out in a sensual manner after the work is done"....or "Indian pole gymanstics of course....they had a HUGE influence on western society, and that's why it came to be popular here". My guess is they'll go with the latter.

At least in the stripper dancing classes, they don' t yet protest: "it has NOTHING to do with stripping...that's...fitness dancing!!! Though if the fad does not fade, I'm sure we will get to that point for some!

If you want to dance like a stripper, it's your choice! But don't deny your progenitors....how can you ever have self-esteem yourself, if you remain so shamed, and so in denial, of your roots?? :-)

PS. It may yet make the olympics. It's actually far more athletic than many of the olher "sports". Then again, Olympic sport is hardly a badge of honor....pool plunging.....pistol dueling (oh...I mean fitness pistols...it had nothing to do with violence).....and of course: solo synchronized swimming.
