Ummm, a tweet is only allowed 140 characters. I have never even used twitter and know they limit it. So your insult has nothing to do with iPhone or BlackBerry.

Most enterprise phones don't allow twitter anyway. So makes sense that it would be twittered from an iphone.
It's often why people who carry BlackBerry for work hate them.. they do very little when locked up for security reasons.

To be fair, books are written on iPhones too. Not surprising, since iOS has the best editing tools.
iToy lol....that phone is not a toy...
I'd be willing to bet that he uses an iPhone when his term is over too. The blackberry days in the U.S. are done. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Feature films have been made and fashion shows recorded as well.
So this "!!people write books on blackberry's!!" thing has gotten a little tired. I was reading that one four years ago!
who gives a rats As s, anyone that would follow him is a sheep
It would be fine for him to dictate the tweet if he chose to: tell it to someone who will type it in on his behalf: he could even email the text of the tweet to someone from his BB and they copy / paste it into the account to tweet it.
I can only imagine the penalty for the person actually tweeting if they accidentally use the @POTUS account for their drunken wet-t-shirt contest pics.
Standard Operating Procedure: Lock iPhone powered-off in a lead-lined safe with a charger in it. When POTUS dictates a tweet to be sent from @POTUS, two people go to the safe, open it, get the iPhone out of safe, power up iPhone, send the tweet, confirm receipt on another device following @POTUS, power off iPhone, put iPhone back in safe, lock it, turn out lights as you leave the room. Lock the room. Post guard outside of room.
The sober comments about how "fundamentalist religious terrorism is the great threat to life and liberty in our time" will come... but it's the eff-ups where tweets go TERRIBLY WRONG that are going to get attention.
EDIT: clarification so as not to imply that anything in my post is factual.
Where did it say he dictated that tweet?
LOL.
I think it is VERY important for some folks to believe he'd never touch an iPhone.
Way to research, the itoy was from someone else he borrowed to send it, he still has his secure blackberry that he always uses.
And before ifans come on here telling me to provide a link and source, borrow a bb10 with the smoking browser and research it yourself like I did when I first heard about it.
Have a good one!
Correct.....you are wrong!
Seems like a logical security model for keeping work and play separate.
lol jeez... It's like the mere possibility of Obama owning and using an iPhone as a second device, hurts some of you on a deep personal level. I'm surprised no one has accused Apple of paying Obama to tweet from an iPhone.
I saw what you did there haha
@Morphinpower wrote a great post about this tweet & how Obama borrowed an iPhone to do it. Unfortunately the thread was closed.
I suggest reading his post though....You can find it here:
