I've never had that happen with any other device...
The browser does crash with surprising frequency.
I'm also having to reboot the whole thing every few days to fix problems.
My playbook browser crashes sometimes. I really don't give a about that html5test score. It doesn't bother me that much, but they need to fix it.
What I find is that the browser uses up a lot of RAM. If you don't have enough free RAM, then the browser will shut down suddenly. Restart should help. Also turn off Flash to make browser run faster.
Just a suggestion......delete all saved wifi names and passwords and reinstall and also reset router if possible. This worked for me during past updates and stopped the "crashing"
