USMC - they get they biggest guns and we know big guns make big holes.

on the same note i think this is the funnah - - -

a MSNBC reported asked a USMC sniper what he felt when he picked off a terrorist ------- he shrugged and said "the recoil".....

I went for the Marines on my 17th birthday. Had my ship date and everything set and ready for when I turned 18. I had passed all the medical and such. Then go home and for a job had to get a physical. I told the doctor about the Corps and during the physical she finds that I have Cardio-Myopithy (spelling? either way Enlarged heart, irregular heart beat) and she puts a note in my file that military service would be risky. I show up for my ship date and get denied. My recruiter tells me why and that I can try the other branches, instead of that I tried for the Marines every year after that until last year ( 28 is the cut off ). Also went in to the doctors office and had words, was promptly escorted out.

Yeah, but you can go from one service to special forces of another. If you started in the Marines you would have the tougher training of a 13 week boot camp and better conditioning ( IMO ) to prepare you for the S.E.A.L.S

But family tradition has a way of making some of these decisions also...

My grandfather flew bombers for the Navy in Vietnam. Not only would he want me to join the Navy, I would out of respect for him.

And personally, if I had to choose, it would be Navy.

I would love to learn to fly too.

I can't, my eyesight is terrible. But that would be my dream (Military) job.

If I hadn't had my children young I would have went into the Air Force. I always wanted to fly planes. My dad was Army and grandfather Navy.

My dad got his pilots license after leaving the Army and used to take us up all the time. Guess that's where I got my love for flying.

    I'd choose USMC, Semper Fi!

    Thnx, Tripster
