Okay. I tried this before and got frustrated and dropped the Idea but I'm gonna give it another go cause I really want it to work.
I have an HP dv1000 running XP sp3 and an ASUS 1000ha netbook running XP sp3 also. I want to network them so I can share files and my Lexmark X75 printer
I have a CAT5e crossover cable. It's plugged into both computers at their ethernet port. They won't talk to eachother. Won't even recognize eachother. Anyone with time, patience, and knowledge please feel free to pm, pin or bbm me

I should add that I've run the network wizard on both machines. They are both on the same "network name".
