Hi.. I want to buy a Network-Attached-Storage (NAS) device to act like a home cloud where I can store movies; hook it with my smart TV to watch. About 1 TB of storage should be enough.

Could you recommend something for me? compatibility with BlackBerry is a must of course. Thanks

Get a cheap (got old one lying around? ) or second hand laptop (power saving!) and a 1TB external hard disk. Install on 8GB USB stick or even lower size. Don't wipe the internal HDD, if there's data on it. Connect to network. Configure. Have fun.

    Download software
    from nas4free.org or freenas.org

    Two different server software systems.
    Super secure, based on BSD.

? BlackBerry? I premdict the future's gonna be chenomenal! ?

Get a Verbatim NAS. $150 on eBay for a 1TB one.

I have a Synology 2bay and picked it and the HD off Amazon.ca. Very easy to set up and add the extra free options. Do your research as each option will have its pros and cons, and you need to choose what works best for you.

I like all the (unfortunately Android apps only) apps that help me manage and move data on my NAS right from my BlackBerry.

A slow climb to the top is always more rewarding. Sent using my BlackBerry Z10.
