so just an extremely random curiosity..

does anyone else take the case off their phone every now and then when they're like in the house relaxing and it's like "aahh" be free my like electronic lovebug? lol because i do, it's getting intimately reacquainted with its form factor, or taking your dog's collar off after you know they're probably tired of wearing it ALL day

I use the swivel belt case for transporting the phone, but otherwise my phone is always naked. I am obsessive though. I have what I call "landing zones" at home and at work (my wife thinks I am crazy). I have rectangles cut to size from mouse pads to lay the phone down on when not in use. (1) at work, and like (4) at home. That way I know the screen and camera lens won't get scratched when I lay the phone down. Working so far-no damage in over a year of ownership.

I do. I like the Z 10 without a case. I use the flip case when I'm out and about.

Yes, that happens. Not too regularly.

Took the phone out of its genuine BB leather flip case maybe twenty or thirty times altogether. Mostly for SDcard checks and SIM swaps.

I found the edges of the steel case of the Q10 are now worn a bit, after about 10 months of use, in that case. Is this resulting from taking it out or just from the minuscule movements in the case when carrying it and hacking away at the keyboard?

Oh my glob... you sure love your phone... for me I bought a leather-like pad and stick it directly into the back of my Q5... makes the phone a little bolder and helps avoid scratches . The back logo looks way cooler, btw

I use the otterbox defender I got from at&t for $5. I'm brutal on phones, though. I even managed to beat up my Nokia Lumia 920 quite a bit.

I found a whole roll of mouse pad material, and have been doing the same thing. I thought I was the only one. I had an otterbox until I got a torch. Then, I used some other kind of protective case until shortly before the Z10 came out. I realized that I rarely have my phone anywhere that it can get messed up, so I don't need a case.

I do have a flip case, though. I like having the stand.

Grab a BlackBerry convertible case for home. In and out of it in under 5 seconds. Mouse landing pad at work is a good idea for a naked phone. Or reverse the idea and use the convertible to prop up your phone at a great viewing angle for work and get naked at home.
