A few months ago, I wrote 80,000 lines of code in about 12 weeks. Then, I had to take a couple of days off because my hands became so weak from typing to much that I literally could not even push the button on a remote control or mouse!
Glad to hear I'm not the only one with sore wrists. I think it's from holding my BBs in bed and staring at that little magic screen for hours on end. A few Aleve or Advil take care of it, but can you get carpal thummel?
My thumbs are actually getting faster these days. In the past 24 hours I've switched from (most recently) an 8310 to an 8820. I've found my typing to increase speed with the larger keyboard, so it is pretty nice. I work in a biopharmaceutical research facility, and the 8820 also makes it easier to type with latex or nitrile gloves on. I kinda miss my camera, but not really. Thing sucks anyway. I _think_ the wifi, keyboard, and gps will soothe my nerves. Of course if RIM puts out a wifi/gps/camera anything, I'll be honor-bound to buy it. Ah well.......
You need to start training your fingers when in bed haha. My fingers felt a bit sore when I first started using PDA phones, with trying to press such a small button, and using the key pad for so much more, but you will get use to it over time. OR at least over-come it.
Oh wow. I didn't think Blackberry Thumb would hurt this bad. I kind of thought it was an urban legend or something but I was dead wrong. My right thumb is totally useless today. I couldn't even hold a fork. Will this stop me? I doubt it. I've just been typing more with my left hand!
I think sore thumbs and wrist are norm. I know I have had it and whenever I feel it happening I just prop my arm/wrist on a pillow and BB and I are still connected.
Ok I did something today that let me know I was truly a crackberry addict... I was typing something and I hit the spacebar 2 times to create a punctuation....OMG!!!!
