So today marks an anniversary I wish never happened . My wife's 3rd year anniversary of having a stroke due to her lupus. She has recovered quite nicely and unfortunately has to be on medication for the rest of her life, but she has persevered and she continues to live live to the fullest.

Thank you for having the strength and courage to openly reveal your personal problems to us members. We don't proclaim our feelings enough to other members in times of tragedy but I for one congratulate you for the determination shown by you and your wife to get through the last three years.

Well done and may you both continue to enjoy your lives together.

So today my wife had a Dr's. appt to get the results of some blood work she did a few weeks ago, this after complaining to the Dr. that she was getting joint pains again. So it seems like she is in the first stages of a flair up of the disease. It will be her first flair up since she had her stroke. She lives life thinking all is well and she can do the things she used to, and then she gets a dose of reality knowing that this beast can come and go as it pleases. So they are going to tackle it before it comes back full force and put her back on IV steroids since the oral med she was taking is not effective.
