Going to school without metal detectors.
Getting into a fight that doesn't include "gun" or "knife" fight. Just a good ol' fashioned dirty clothes bloody nose fist fight.
I know this has already been said, but players that play more for the love of the sport, and not the love of the outrageous contract. Including loyalty to a team.
Celebrities being celebrities for actually having an actual career, not just becoming a star because of Jersey Shore, Survivor, etc.

Getting a cuff in the back of the head for acting up in a public place ...
Having your parent point out that child that acted up and got the cuff .. to tell you that if you continue your next .
Visiting your Grandparents every Sunday after church, using an old-fashioned dictionary, only being able to watch TV on Saturday mornings, walking 2 miles to school with your brother, being 9 years old and having real chores, neighborhood snow ball fights......some things I'm glad they'll never know: getting whupped until you couldn't walk for saying "No" to your dad, eating nothing but rice for weeks because daddy got laid off, sitting in smoke filled houses because no one knew how dangerous cigarette smoke was for kids, and washing out your little sister's cloth diapers.

Driving a car with a 3 speed column shift. And pickups were either "3 on the tree" or 4 on the floor. Society didn't start to crumble until we put automatics in pickups, and starters on Harleys.

Yep, manuel steering and manuel brakes and no seat belts
Hey sherryrn2001,
How about pulling those skates apart and attaching them to a 2x4 wood scrap about 2 ft long? Those were the 1st primitive skateboards. And we would go down hills really fast, metal wheels and all. When the wheels wore out, you'd pull the other skate apart and replace the worn out wheels. Soon after that, some toy co came out with the 'Sidewalk Surfer', still with metal wheels, and wood board that was thinner, wider, and longer. After that, no more clamp skates, no more skate keys. Come to think of it, a toy co exec lived across the street. I wonder if those were Ohio Art? Don't know. But look at those skateboards now! Ah, the '60s... How we didn't kill ourselves on those things, I"ll never know!

I remember those skates - but one thing that nobody mentioned was
the key (which you could never find when you needed it) which was used
to clamp them onto your shoes...
