So, I hadn't updated the itouch for a while and today went infor an update as many of the apps kept saying I needed a newer version.

Started to updates required no probs...but it wiped my music.

My music has all gone from the itouch but is still sitting there in the music section of itunes.

    So I tried sync..it shows starting sync 1 of 1..finishes within 2 or 3 seconds..go to my itouch..and nothing?

I need my music more than I need my pc..what am i doing wrong and how do I resolve it?

Many many deperate thanks in advance

Well. Turn off your computer. It seems your itunes helper.exe has crashed.

Reboot iPod as well. They tend to need rebooting on iOS 4. :P

    Thanks death

I nosed around a bit, like I should have done earlier.

Turns out it was on manual sync so I had to right click highlight all the albums..drag them into the ...my ipod on the left then it started syncing

that will teach me to be a bit more patient.

Lol, Apple makes it difficult on purpose. My ipod crashed once after I jailbroke it, had to create a new user on my PC to get iTunes to recognize the darn thing.
You update to 4.2? Did you jailbreak it yet?
