I would feel the same way I'd feel about suicides at my local bank, the US Mint, a clothing store, restaurant, etc.

In other words it's unfortunate, but mostly irrelevant to me, unless it effects my ability to get the product or service I'm trying to get...

Or Nokia phone users, or Sony consumers, or Dell computer users, or any of the other products made at the facility.
Unfortunatly the media focused on the Apple side of things and ignored all the other companies who have their products made there.

Very sad story all the same

Another story that is probably twisted to make it sound like it's Apple's fault. What is wrong with the media today?

Like sandman said, it's sad. Do I lay awake at night over it? No. I read a statistic somewhere (might have been on tipb.com) that the number of suicides compared with the number of people working in that company is actually lower than the national average. Whether or not that's 100% accurate, I don't know. Doesn't mean I don't care but there's not much I can do personally. As was stated, Apple isn't the only company using Foxconn. I would venture a guess that a majority of people posting here use one or more products made by that company.

No. Because as noted above, it doesn't have anything to do with the iPhone itself.

"I wonder how iPhone users feel...."

He's asking iPhone users how they feel about the suicides at Foxconn.

    Not everyone and their mother.

    But anyway, no big deal.

Well, actually, if the OP is seeking the opinion of iPhone users, the most logical place to do that is where the most iPhone users are.
    The iPhone forum.

I agree it is sad that those 10 people lost their lives, but there isn't anything iPhone users can do about it. They made the decision to end their lives. Once that decision is made there isn't much anyone can do to prevent it, without knowing beforehand.

Also, I want to see the hard evidence proving that it was because of the conditions within the factory that these people took their lives. Perhaps these people had an underlying issue that no one knew about. There is no way for us to know which is truly the case without speaking to one of the two who survived their suicide attempt or a note left behind by one of those that were successful.

I suspect they feel pretty good. I mean, owning something that holds the power of life and death over people is pretty awesome.

Don't want a used gun that was used in a deadly bank heist? Get a product that was directly responsible for eliminating 5 times as many people.

Ah, the thrill of absolute power.

Why would iPhone users feel bad?
If there was 2million of te iPhone users that did not buy iPhone, then Steve would sell to a different 2 mill.

It isn't their faults. They did nt buythe phone thinking it would get someone killed.

Also. It is not only apple.
    It's like Dell and others.
    As stated before.
